Busy Summer of Fun!

Wow, sorry for taking so long to post! We've been super busy with all of those fun family activities in the summer. Elias loves the pool and the sandbox and Noah is really getting into being daddy's helper in the garden. We took the kids to a really nice Children's Garden near my parents home that had a "river" the kids could play in. Any time water is involved my kids have a blast.

Elias' new obsession is Tractors. Considering our home is next to and across from corn and soybean fields he gets to see them often. He also screams with joy anytime he sees them (this can be a little startling when you are driving). Noah has really gotten into making up crazy stories and acting out stories with his trains.

We finally got our family pictures taken (only took five months). Elias hated it, but we managed to get some good ones. The only thing we couldn't get was a picture of the boys together. The photographer was very slow and we were approaching melt down before we could do it.

In two weeks we have our SECOND post placement visit. It is so hard to believe it's here already. Time has flown by. Elias is doing so well it blows my mind. His vocabulary is so large i can't believe it. I kind of wonder if he may be a little older than 18 month due to his language development, but it doesn't really matter.

Everybody's Zooing It

Noah and Elias getting ready to "hatch" in the aviary

Saturday was Elias' first trip to the Zoo. He seemed to have a good time although was more interested in the many animal statues than the actual animals themselves. He did really get into the aquarium. Noah had a good time as well, he finally got to ride the train thanks to Grandma. The only downside to the train was that Noah wanted to keep his ticket and they wouldn't let him. I think he wanted them to punch the tickets like on the polar express. He also wanted to train to back up so he could see the Giraffe again :).
The best thing of all was that everyone was well behaved and happy the whole day... priceless.

Daddy, do I really have to sit up here?

I finally got a good picture of me with the boys, they move so quick this isn't easy to do :)
